May is National Masturbation Month

Do your part, Touch your parts

If you never intentionally touched yourself for pleasure, the mentions of this month’s celebrations can be daunting no doubt. But, if this is your first mention of National Masturbation Month, it is time to put your hands in your pants!!!

As we are almost 14 days into the month of May, I ask, "have you done your part?"

Never masturbated before, I say better late than never.

Would you believe a woman got fired in 1994 by the President because she did not want someone to take that right away from you? Well, Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders did get fired by, wait for it… President Bill “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” Clinton in 1994 for the brilliant suggestion that masturbation be added to sex education curriculum in schools. Maybe if he knew to masturbate, he could have skipped that whole impeachment ordeal, but I digress.

To commemorate 25 years of National Masturbation Day I am going to encourage you on this journey. Now, I know people pop a lot of shit about why you should not touch yourself, I have heard it too. This ain’t that. So, here are a few reasons why you should touch yourself:

· Orgasms boost your immune system by increasing the number of "killer" cells called leukocytes (white blood cells that fight off infectious disease aka “Corona Viii-iiiirr-uuuus”)

· Orgasms reduce stress. Yeah, we all need less right now.

· Orgasms improve sleep and relaxation by increasing oxytocin and vasopressin in the body. Since social distancing is still a thing and much of the world is still inaccessible, you have tons of damned time to relax. If you have had trouble sleeping, try gifting yourself an orgasm.

· Orgasms can make you look younger by stimulating collagen production, which makes skin healthy, clear, and glowing. You can just say it is a part of your beauty regimen.

· Orgasms reduce period cramps. Midol, Tylenol, alcohol aren’t a match for an orgasm.

· Orgasms improve prostate health and can reduce the chance of prostate cancer in men over 60.

Now that you have the facts, you can take your sexual health, well being and satisfaction into your own hands come what may.
